Tutorial? Nails shaded in emerald and black through Melissa Menezes

Hello, hello, hello, girls!Ready for autumn/winter? Taking advantage of the color of 2013, emerald green, I bring you a simple tutorial with a very nice and elegant effect for your nails!

You will need the following nail polishes:

  • – Emerald Green.
  • Risk (or other shade/color of your choice) – Black.
  • Impala (all well pigmented black will do) – Eye shadow.
  • From Colorama (has a transparent cover.
  • Has the function of darkening the effect a little and evenly) – Quick-drying finish layer Out The Door (or any quick-drying finish).

Start by polishing your nails with emerald green and wait for them to dry.

In a cosmetic latex sponge (such as those used to apply the base), make a strip with green enamel and a strip with black enamel, like this:

Press the sponge against the tip of your nails, one at a time. Reapply the enamel to the sponge whenever necessary. The first layer will be weak and very marked, but don’t worry, the next layers will close the color.

Wait till it dries between layers, because if it’s too wet, the nail polish starts to stick to the sponge? In the following layers, position the sponge so that the green part is higher than the division with black, so that it forms the perfect gradient!

Finish with a thin layer of Shadow Enamel to darken and match the effect. Optionally, you can skip this part and go directly to Top Coat. It is important to use a good layer of quick-drying finish to avoid accidents and increase enamel durability.

I hope you enjoyed it!
