Seventeen March magazine invited five very famous American makeup artists to create a look especially for publication. The professionals’ mission was to design a brand that represented the season (in the case of spring) and the brand they work for.
Look at that steering wheel!
- This sweet smoky look was created by my greatest muse: Pat McGrath.
- A 39-year-old Englishwoman who is considered by Vogue magazine as the most influential artist in the world.
- She is currently the Creative Director of brands such as: Max Factor.
- CoverGirl.
- SK-II and Dolce and Gabbana.
For this look, Pat used only Cover Girl products and created smokey eyes perfect for everyday wear and for teenage girls (who shouldn’t be wearing too much makeup).
A gray shade has been applied to the eyelid and a light pink shade to the concave (smoky). The eye also has a slight black outline and a lighted inner corner. On bright pink lips and apples with a healthy appearance, very light, because the look is focused on the eyes, so the rest should be applied only in neutral tones.
* I loved this combination of graphite and pink!
The second look was created by Charlotte Willer, the official makeup artist of Maybelline! The artist opted for a very bright makeup and all the work in coral tones. Despite the shine, the look was very neutral, after all the colors used were close to nude!
In the eyes a little coral glitter and a lot of mascara. On the peach-toned illuminating apples, and on the lips orange lipstick and colorless gloss!
I found it cool
The MAC look was created by Romero Jennings, senior makeup artist at the Canadian brand. He also opted for a monochrome brand, all worked in golden and copper tones, with metallic finish!
In the eyes, a very light golden illuminating shadow, and champagne near the brow. The apples have a blush with a slight tan tone and the lips with a copper lipstick and a metallic orange gloss.
* I thought it was sexy, up to a point!
Rimmel London’s official makeup artist (and celebrities) Liz Pugh created a look based entirely on mermaids (is it, mermaid?Lol).
Royal blue in 1/3 of the eyelid and smoked lilac in the rest of the eye, pulling the kitten towards the outer corner. Pink apples and pink rubber lips!
Cute? I love this mermaid look, and I think that the blue combined with the lilac printed that exact effect that the makeup artist marked!
Nancy Glass, Clinique’s BEST Makeup Artist, has created a modern yet fresh look.
In the eyes a grayish brown tone and a lot of mascara. On the apples used a blush with three shades of pink, the result were marked cheeks, but very natural, here the important thing is?You got blood on your face. You know when you squeeze the apples to rinse, that’s all!On the lips a shine of your fruit, to provide luminosity and an air of health.
I really liked this makeup, it intensifies the natural beauty!
