Use it over a brown base (I use NYX Dark Brown Jumbo or Lancôme Brun Pencil) See how it looks:
I do it like this: brown base on the eyelid and the bright shadow on the top, I mix all four normally, then on the concave I smoke a medium opaque brown shadow and on the outside a black or opaque dark brown too. , when I take a photo and show it here;)
